R200 CLSD
R32 GT-R
6-bolt star output shafts identical to the '90 - '96 Q45s.
Nissan Competition also sells replacement "beefier" LSD clutch packs to retrofit these R200s (either short or long nose) but they are almost as expensive as a Quaife, Kaaz, etc.
Specs (R32 GT-R FSM):

Short nose R200 - weight 72 lbs
The SHORTNOSE R200 and R230 are very similar with regards to installation, so we’ll deal with them together. These diffs are as the name implies shorter, and so THESE ARE NOT A BOLT IN. The shorter length will require a new longer driveshaft (FSM: propeller shaft). Most people buy the Q45 R200 diff for the viscous LSD. The VLSD R200 will not survive agressive driving for long [overheats], unless a a diff cooler is installed. While VLSDs are not as aggressive as CLSD’s, they are fairly bulletproof, and don’t have issues with clutch packs breaking.
The torque capacity of the shortnose R200 should be equivalent to the R200 longnose, which means it can handle a lot of abuse. 400 lb/ft should not be a problem with the R200 shortnose, and it will probably hold a good amount more if the VLSD is used. There is apparently another model of the R200 shortnose which has 5 bolt output flanges on the sides of the diff. This model should be avoided, since the CV adapters we have available use the 6 bolt flanges.

R200V (VLSD)

Axles
The CV shafts from the donor vehicles are too long to use in the S30 chassis, so custom CV shafts must be used. In order to get one set of CV shafts, it is necessary to obtain 4 inner CV shafts (the part that goes into the diff) from an Infiniti Q45, and throw away the shafts and the outer (wheel side) CV joint.
Once the 4 inner shafts are obtained, a new shorter CV shaft is necessary. Moser makes this piece and it is available through www.modern-motorsports.com. Modern Motorsports also makes the necessary adapter to bolt the CV shaft to the companion flange at the wheel side of the CV shaft. Modern Motorsports has ensured that the shafts they sell fit both the R200 shortnose and the R230 shortnose, so there should be no issues with bottoming the shafts out or topping them out with either differential.

- 280Z stub axles (already purchased) You end up mating the 4 inner flange style 6 bolt CV joints to the custom billet axles including our custom end-stops.
These billet pieces only match up with 280Z stub axles which ARE stronger than 240Z units so if you have the chance to upgrade from 240Z stub axles and companion flanges, you can directly swap in the MM ($695) billet 280Z stub axles (or used OEM 280Z units, your option) and billet CV adapter/companion flanges.
R230 conversion package with axles modern motorsports $650
Requires FOUR (4) '89 - '96 Q45 inner CV axle assemblies $48 + $75 core charge, so essentially $123 ea.
Need to ship a pair of companion flanges as cores to MM, so this is the least preferred option.
